Group Training Session - Maintaining NFAS Accreditation (Dec 4)



Join resident facilitator, Jeff House, live as he guides you and the team through the module Maintaining NFAS Accreditation, the third module within the Feedlot Accreditation Fundamentals Course on Feedlot TECH. The access fee is per feedlot/business, and covers all staff that wish to partake in the training session. Date: Wednesday, 4th of December 2024 Time: 3:30 - 4:30pm

Post registration, you will receive a zoom link to save to your calendar and access the training. Those who attend and participate in the session will have their Feedlot TECH training transcript updated automatically.


There are several steps feedlots must take to become accredited under the National Feedlot Accreditation Scheme (NFAS) and then to maintain their accreditation.


This module will cover gaining NFAS Accreditation and how to maintain your NFAS accreditation including audits, activities and statement of authority holders. Learning outcomes and competencies By the end of this module, you will learn to:

  • Learn the process of gaining NFAS accreditation

  • Understand the NFAS requirements for audits and activities

  • Realise the importance of internal and external audits

  • Know how to help your feedlot prepare for an audit

  • Understand the role of a statement of authority holder
