Australian Lot Feeders’ Association (ALFA) Membership was established in the 1960’s and has provided world-class information and assistance for Members for more than 50 years.

An annual membership provides access to a variety of member exclusive benefits and discounts. 

Feedlot

Feedlot Membership

A Feedlot Member must be an Operating Entity of at least one  NFAS Accredited Feedlot.

From $600 + gst

The membership fee is calculated upon feedlot constructed capacity.

Platinum

Platinum Membership

Exclusive opportunity to be one of 8 Platinum Members.

Price on application

  • Platinum Members are businesses that are strong supporters of the industry or wish to establish an increased market presence

  • This membership category is limited to 8 Platinum Members at any one time.

  • Receive individual assistance as required

  • Receive privileged access to the ALFA Council

  • Provided exclusive and superior sponsorship opportunities

  • Provided increased brand awareness through profiles in ALFA publications

  • Receive discounts to all ALFA run workshops, training courses and events, including the annual feedlot industry conferences, BeefEx & SmartBeef

Company Associate Membership

Company Associate Memberships are companies with a commercial interest in the feedlot industry.

$1,200 + gst

  • Associate Membership covers a range of individuals and companies including backgrounders, suppliers, banks, agribusiness, grass fed beef producers and so on.

  • ​Receive individual assistance as required

  • Receive discounts for all employees to all ALFA run workshops, training courses and events, including the annual feedlot industry conferences, BeefEx & SmartBeef

  • Industry fortnightly e-Newsletter including industry updates

  • The official Lotfeeding Journal (6 editions/year)

Individual Associate Membership

Individual Associate Members are individuals with an interest in the feedlot industry. 

$525 + gst

  • Associate Membership covers a range of individuals and companies including backgrounders, suppliers, banks, agribusiness, grass fed beef producers and so on.

  • Receive individual assistance as required

  • Receive discounts for one person only to all ALFA run workshops, training courses and events, including the annual feedlot industry conferences, BeefEx & SmartBeef

  • Industry fortnightly e-Newsletter including industry updates

  • The official Lotfeeding Journal (6 editions/year)

Associate

Student Membership

Student Members are individuals aged 18 years and over enrolled at a tertiary institution such as University, TAFE, or High School. PhD students, Lecturers and Teachers are not eligible however are eligible to apply for Individual Associate Membership.

$50 + gst

  • Receive individual assistance as required (including helping to find relevant employment or work experience in the feedlot industry)

  • Eligibility for scholarship opportunities to attend the annual feedlot industry conference

  • Receive discounts for one person only to all ALFA run workshops, training courses and events, including the annual feedlot industry conferences, BeefEx & SmartBeef

  • Industry fortnightly e-Newsletter including industry updates

  • The official Lotfeeding Journal (6 editions/year)

  • Media Releases

Student

Receiving Member Communications

If we have your e-mail address, we will send any notices of general meetings (including the Annual General Meeting (AGM)), other Member communications including for Director Elections and important service communications in relation to your Membership by e-mail.
 

However, you can elect how you would like to receive certain documents, including Annual Reports, notices of AGMs, other documents relating to meetings of Members and your Membership renewal statements.
 

You can make a standing election or one-off request to receive some or all of these documents in electronic or physical form. You can also elect not to be sent any Annual Reports.
 

To update your communication preferences, please email info@feedlots.com.au with details of your request. No matter what your election, you will be able to access Annual Reports and notices of any upcoming AGM on our website.

Member Portal Access

ALFA is consistently striving to maintain and improve our services for our members and the Australian lot feeding community. As part of our continual improvements to our systems, the Association is pleased to announce the launch of our new membership portal, designed to significantly enhance your membership experience and streamline your interactions with ALFA.

 

To access your new membership profile simply navigate to member.feedlots.com.au/profile/. For your initial login, you will need to enter your email address and select the 'Reset Password' option. You will then be guided through the steps to establish your new login and gain access to your profile.
