About Us:
Condamine Feedlot is located in the Western Darling Downs of Queensland, 3 hours from Toowoomba. This modern 28000 head facility serves a key role in the Teys Australia supply chain producing quality beef for the domestic and export markets.
We are looking for an experienced Pen Rider / Stockperson to join our team on a permanent full time basis. This opportunity would suit an enthusiastic individual who has a genuine desire to work in the beef industry and who thrives in a collaborative team environment.
Daily role includes -
Pen riding, pen movements, drafting and cutting out;
Diagnosing animal health symptoms with an emphasis on animal welfare;
Administration of the animal health treatments, maintaining accurate daily records, including data entry.
Unloading and loading of cattle when required
General yard maintenance.
Skills and attributes required:
- Competent horsemanship and riding abilities
- Minimum of 3 suitable horses and tack for the position
- Availability to work roster 10 days on 4 off.
Training in feedlot operations will be provided and remuneration will be negotiated with the successful applicant. Horse maintenance program is provided to successful applicant. Excellent Horse facilities, inc. feed, shoeing, Hendra/Strangles/Worming program
Self-contained single accommodation is available.
