ALFA's Nutrition & Milling Workshop 2024

Registrations are now open for ALFA’s Nutrition & Milling workshop, which will be delivered in-person across Australia this March.

This workshop will benefit all feedlot staff, particularly staff members who work within or with the feed team.

The workshop will also benefit those involved as suppliers to the feedlot industry, including grain growers and general commodity suppliers, by offering an insight into why feedlots require quality products to produce a high-quality finished product.

ALFA's Nutrition & Milling Workshops will be hosted by Jeff House with industry nutritionists Damien Nankervis and Grace James presenting.

Damien Nankervis - Nutrition Services Associates

Damien Nankervis is an accomplished Nutrition Consultant at Nutrition Service Associates (NSA), specialising in the nutrition of ruminant animals. He earned his Bachelor of Agricultural Science from the University of Queensland in 1997, with his honors project exploring the protein binding capacity of a novel Leucaena cultivar. With a robust theory and practical background in the field, Damien is well placed and proud to be presenting at the upcoming ALFA Nutrition & Milling Workshops.

Grace James - Nutrition Services Associates

Grace James has been a consulting nutritionist with Nutrition Service Australia (NSA) for 8 years. She completed her Bachelor of Rural Science at UNE in 2015 and more recently her Master of Philosophy at UQ focusing on nutritional management of heat stress in feedlot cattle.

Grace is passionate about staff training and development, particularly in the areas of bunk and feeding management. She enjoys helping clients reach their production goals whilst optimising animal nutrition, health and welfare.

Training locations not convenient for your team? We are running a hybrid workshop on the 26th of March. This means for those who need to attend virtually, they can attend a session ‘live’ by dialling in via video-link. Participants will be able to ask questions and interact as they would in real life with the presenters. To book into the hybrid session, select 'online' ticket type when checking out via the ALFA website. Note, you will need to register each individual to have their training records reflected and a certificate issued (i.e. 1 ticket = access for 1 person, as opposed to covering a team of people like the fee to access monthly online facilitated training sessions do).

Registration is per person and covers training materials and catering for the day. Travel to and from the workshop is not included.

ALFA MEMBER - $330 (inc gst) per person

NON-MEMBER - $430 (inc gst) per person

Registrations will close 1 March 2024. Member discounts available.

Registering a group and prefer to pay on invoice? Simply register online as per usual and enter ‘invoice’ in the coupon code section to enable checkout – ALFA accounts will then issue you an invoice directly post registration confirmation.
