Group Training Session - Foundations of NFAS (Jun 5)



Join resident facilitator, Jeff House, live as he guides you and the team through the module Foundations of NFAS, the first module within the Feedlot Accreditation Fundamentals Course on Feedlot TECH. The access fee is per feedlot/business, and covers all staff that wish to partake in the training session. Date: Wednesday, 5th of June 2024 Time: 3:30 - 4:30pm

Post registration, you will receive a zoom link to save to your calendar and access the training. Those who attend and participate in the session will have their Feedlot TECH training transcript updated automatically.


The National Feedlot Accreditation Scheme (NFAS) underpins the entire lot feeding industry. This module will introduce you to the NFAS and the standards of grain fed beef and their requirements.

In this module, you’ll be introduced to Grain fed Beef, the National Feedlot Accreditation Scheme, and their requirements. Learning outcomes and competencies Completing this module will help you to:

  • Understand grain fed beef and what makes it unique

  • Understand the National Feedlot Accreditation Scheme

  • Identify the 5 modules of NFAS

  • Know the responsibilities of the industry in relation to NFAS

  • Understand the role of a Statement of Authority Holder
