Feedlots are at the heart of Frasers Livestock Transport, working alongside small-scale, boutique and family-run operations, as well as large vertically integrated and corporate feed yards.
The experienced team at Frasers know what great livestock transport needs to handle: tight schedules, rigorous compliance, strict biosecurity, uncompromising animal welfare – all measured against a lens of cost and time efficiencies for the customer and fleet efficiency.
Fraser owned and operated since 1944, Frasers Livestock Transport has followed a simple philosophy set down by founder Charlie Fraser. “Charlie built the business on clean trucks and timely and efficient service and today we still live by those values,” said Charlie’s grandson and Third Generation to take on the family business, Warwick Fraser.
“Livestock and trucks are in our DNA and stock transport is a unique beast – we aren’t talking about boxes and pallets,” said Warwick, who is the current GM. “So what we do is more than just moving stock, there’s little room for margin – it’s all about consistency, care and a commitment to doing things well.”
Warwick is also a Director, along with his father Les and uncle Ross – both prominent figures and contributors to the livestock and trucking sectors in Australia.
“We have great people in the business today and many who came before us who have built a reputation of experience, reliability, trust and a genuine commitment to customer service.”
That reliability plays out across every part of the Fraser operation—from depots and workshops to wash bays, saleyards and behind the wheel of green Kenworth trucks. The Fraser team navigate a landscape of regulation and expectation to deliver on the promise of professional, dependable service.
“The beef industry and the feedlot sector in particular are dynamic and growing fast – to keep pace we are investing both time and capital on sustainability and innovation which are critical to underpinning key safeguards and risk controls,” Warwick said.
“To us, this work is much more than ticking boxes—we don’t just want to meet standards, our aim is to go beyond them.”
That approach can be seen in the way the Fraser team works with staff undergoing annual refresher training to stay aligned with evolving welfare expectations and safe and practical livestock handling practices.
“It’s more than just compliance—it’s a culture,” Warwick said.
Outside the yards, biosecurity and environmental responsibility are part of the everyday approach. Frasers operates three truck wash facilities—one of which runs day and night shifts to operate 24 hours a day, six days a week.
“These facilities don’t just keep Kenworths clean—they protect the industry – critical for biosecurity, effluent control and disease prevention,” Warwick said.
The business has also retrofitted its trailer fleet with effluent tanks—a practical step toward reducing spills and lifting the standard of road hygiene and biosecurity control.
“If we do our part well and push benchmarks and standards, this is our way of helping safeguard the future of the livestock transport industry and the valuable livestock sector in Australia.”
“Our approach is simple: invest in great people, use industry’s best equipment and operate responsibly with integrity.”
“We’re not just about moving stock—we’re about doing our part properly.”
