The Australian Lot Feeders’ Association (ALFA) is pleased to host BeefEx in 2024 at Brisbane RNA, QLD on 15-17 October 2024.

Registrations are currently open for the main event in the lot feeding sector social calendar. BeefEx is the grain fed beef industry’s major national conference and is expected to attract over 700 delegates from around the country, and internationally, for a celebration and showcase of the sector’s achievements.

BeefEx, held biennially, draws together feedlot operators and their staff, nutritionists, veterinarians, backgrounders, regulators, service providers, transport operators and others involved in the grain fed industry and beef supply chain.

SCHOLARSHIPS

​

The scholarships are awarded to students who show an interest in lot feeding, and/or associated fields. Student will be selected on the quality of their responses in the application form and their interest in a career in the lot feeding sector.

ALFA/MLA Scholarships (10 positions available)

There are a number of scholarships available to assist students in attending BeefEx. This scholarship covers a full delegate event registration and 2-nights' accommodation at the Rydges Fortitude Valley. This includes a ticket to all associated social functions (welcome, gala and farewell functions) as well as the 2-day plenary program. Please note that all other expenses incurred with attending the event, such as travel expenses are at the scholars own expense. The scholarship is not transferrable and cannot be exchanged for cash.

FeedWorks Scholarship (1 position available)

This scholarship covers a full delegate event registration, travel and 2-nights' accommodation. ALFA STUDENT MEMBERSHIP 

​

Preference is given to ALFA Student Members.  To increase your chances of receiving a scholarship, we encourage you to look into becoming an ALFA Student Member, at $50 per year; you receive a fortnightly newsletter to keep you up to date on industry happenings as well as a bimonthly magazine, work placement opportunities are also notified to Student Members. Membership is voluntary, and not a requirement to receive a scholarship.
