ABOUT
The Australian Lot Feeders’ Association (ALFA) in partnership with Meat & Livestock Australia (MLA) and its associate members provide a number of scholarships to students undertaking tertiary studies in an agricultural related field to attend the feedlot industry’s Future Feeders Network Forum.

The Australian Lot Feeders’ Association (ALFA) is pleased to host the Future Feeders Network Forum in Toowoomba on Wednesday 17 September 2025.
Registrations are currently open for the event, hosted by ALFA’s Future Feeders Network (FFN), and dedicated to inspiring and empowering the next generation of professionals in Australia’s lot feeding industry.
Created by under 35s for under 35s (but open to everyone!), the day will feature engaging keynote speakers, panel discussions, and interactive sessions focused on leadership, storytelling, and the skills needed to succeed in our rapidly evolving sector.​​

SCHOLARSHIPS
​
The scholarships are awarded to students who show an interest in lot feeding, and/or associated fields. Student will be selected on the quality of their responses in the application form and their interest in a career in the lot feeding sector.​​​​​​

​​​ALFA/MLA Scholarships (10 positions available)
There are a number of scholarships available to assist students in attending BeefEx 2026. This scholarship covers a full delegate event registration and 2-nights' accommodation in the Gold Coast, QLD. Please note that all other expenses incurred with attending the event, such as travel expenses are at the scholar's own expense. The scholarship is not transferrable and cannot be exchanged for cash.​

​ALFA STUDENT MEMBERSHIP
​
Preference is given to ALFA Student Members. To increase your chances of receiving a scholarship, we encourage you to look into becoming an ALFA Student Member, at $50 per year; you receive a fortnightly newsletter to keep you up to date on industry happenings as well as a bimonthly magazine, work placement opportunities are also notified to Student Members. Membership is voluntary, and not a requirement to receive a scholarship.

ENTRY CRITERIA

Must be over the age of 18

Must be enrolled in tertiary studies in an agricultural related field

Must be available to attend the BeefEx Conference from 22nd - 24th September, 2026.
