This top-tier recognition reflects a decade of sustained investment in building the capability of the Australian feedlot workforce through Feedlot TECH, ALFA’s training, education and careers hub.

Established in 2008, the LearnX Awards celebrate excellence across HR, learning and development, EdTech and talent innovation worldwide. Each entry is independently assessed on merit using a rigorous scorecard, with Platinum representing the highest achievement. With thousands of applications submitted globally, a LearnX win signifies not only the quality of the learning experience but also the leadership and innovation demonstrated by the organisations behind it.

ALFA President, Grant Garey, said the award marks an important milestone for both ALFA and the wider feedlot sector.

“Receiving a Platinum Award at LearnX is a proud moment for our industry. It recognises the long-term investment ALFA, our members and our partners have made in building the capability of our people, something that sits at the heart of our strategy and the RM2030 vision. Feedlot TECH continues to raise the bar for accessible, industry-led training, and this award is a testament to the quality, commitment and expertise behind it.”

Over the past decade, ALFA, with the support of Meat and Livestock Australia (MLA) and long-term digital partners Poncho eLearning, has invested in building Feedlot TECH into the sector’s central learning platform. Today, Feedlot TECH is widely adopted across the supply chain, with increasing course completions, repeat participation and business-wide integration demonstrating strong engagement from employers and employees alike.

ALFA also acknowledges the outstanding leadership of Emily Litzow, ALFA’s Training & Education Manager, who oversaw the design and delivery of the Livestock Health Fundamentals course.

“This achievement represents years of collective effort, industry expertise, high-quality content development, and a shared commitment to building the capability of our workforce.” Ms Litzow said. “Working with Poncho eLearning and MLA has enabled us to create training that is engaging, practical and genuinely impactful in feedlot operations. I’m incredibly proud of what the team has delivered and thrilled to see Feedlot TECH recognised on the international stage.”
