ALFA has a series of nine Committees which manage the external and internal affairs of the Association. These Committee’s include:

- Animal Health & Welfare
- Membership, Events & Industry Capacity
- Feed Commodities & Nutrition
- Feedlot Management
- Marketing,Trade & Market Access
- Research & Development

Each Committee is comprised of 6-8 participants who are primarily Councillors with the residual being external non-ALFA Councillors who have been appointed on the basis of specialist expertise.
Members of the ALFA Council are actively engaged with a range of feedlot and beef industry issues on a day-to-day basis. The structure of the Council, which sees specific issues assigned to particular Committees, ensures that any issue with the potential to impact on the industry is dealt with in an efficient and timely manner.
