FEEDLOT GRADUATE (Iranda Beef, Tintinara SA)
Iranda Beef is home to a 15,000SCU modern feeding and cattle handling facility which is located 15km north of the township of Tintinara, South Australia, only 2 hours from Adelaide.
The graduate position is an 18-month program that will provide the successful applicant with a solid platform into a rewarding career within the lot feeding industry. The program will involve both internal and external industry recognised training that could potentially lead into supervisory level employment when completed.
The successful applicant will be exposed to all areas of modern feed lotting systems including livestock, feed/ mill, administration, QA, environment and safety. As well, this graduate will gain exposure to the cattle buying and meat processing industries.
Essential requirements include:
Recent completion of tertiary education in Agriculture or closely related field
Current drivers’ licence
Strong computer-based skills
Motivated and driven to begin career within the agricultural industry
Preferred requirements include:
Good written and oral communication
Experience in the livestock industry
Basic cattle handling skills
Knowledge of workplace safety and quality assurance systems
The successful applicants will need a positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team.
