We are on the lookout for a new team member to join us!
This role works closely with our leadership team to assess and analyse cattle growth and performance.
You will be the ‘go to’ person to gather and collate relevant performance data across the business enabling well-informed decisions by the Leadership team.
Critical thinking, exceptional business analysis skills, and great stakeholder relationships are required for this role.
Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Work closely with our cattle production team to deliver exceptional outcomes for our clients and collaborators
Manage the collation storage and dissemination of financial and production data
Create novel computational approaches and analytical tools as required by research goals and in consultation with other staff, researchers or collaborators
Communicate results to Leadership team and,
Develop and maintain computational pipelines, infrastructure, and resources across cloud-based platforms and/or on-premises hardware
To be considered for this position, you must have:
Tertiary qualifications in a related field (i.e. agricultural economics, commerce, business, finance or technical discipline)
2 years of business analysis experience, leveraging data sets and tools
Outstanding analytical capability, strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
An affiliation or connection with agriculture
An ability to communicate and extract from multiple stakeholder’s key performance data and from this data highlight key insights, trends, frameworks, you will be comfortable working with people at all levels from senior executive to operational staff
Ability to influence key stakeholders to impact change
Direct experience with the setup and operation of cloud computing platforms and managing large genomic datasets
You are motivated by a fast-paced environment where you will have to constantly adapt with a can-do attitude - no two days are the same
Experience in performing complex data manipulation and analysis in a statistical package
Experience in data management and database implementation
Experience in modern methods for handling missing data
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively to achieve project goals and meet agreed deadlines
Previous feedlot/agriculture experience (highly regarded)
