COMPLIANCE OFFICER (Condamine Feedlot, QLD)

About the Role: We are looking for an experienced full time Compliance Officer to join our team at our Condamine Feedlot, QLD due to internal promotion. This role will be responsible for implementing, maintaining, and auditing Workplace Health and Safety (WHS), Training, Environmental, Animal Welfare and Quality Systems. You will be a detail orientated individual who is able to multi-task and priorities inherent requirements as needed. You will also have genuine interest in the agricultural industry and enthusiasm to learn.
Other requirements of the role will include:
Monitor and facilitate for all WHS measures taken place on site;
Maintain site injury management and employee return to work process;
Identify, promote and develop training solutions for gaps established;
Develop, monitor and administer environmental requirements from both internal and external stakeholders;
Monitor, implement and continuously improve quality standards;
Ensure animal welfare best practice is upheld.
About the Location: Condamine Feedlot is located in the Western Downs Region Queensland, 2 1/2 hours from Toowoomba. This very modern 30,000 head facility which serves a key role in the Teys Australia supply chain, producing quality beef for the domestic and short-fed export markets.
About You: It is essential that you have the following experience/skills:
Desire to work in rural Queensland;
Qualification in or ability to obtain Certificate III in WHS;
Strong communication skills;
Demonstrated computer skills;
Previous experience in a similar role;
Previous feedlot exposure (desirable).
