ANIMAL HEALTH SUPERVISOR and RECEIVAL/DISPATCH SUPERVISOR (Myola Feedlot, North Star NSW)

Acquired by the Bindaree Food Group (BFG) in 2015, Myola Feedlot is a modern 20,000 head capacity feedlot situated in the heart of the “Golden Triangle” in northwest NSW and is 70km from Goondiwindi, 60km from Moree and 50km from Warialda.

Myola now plays an integral role in the BFG supply chain, ensuring the delivery of a consistent supply of cattle to Bindaree grain fed brands.

We currently have a number of exciting opportunities for someone to join our leadership team.

ANIMAL HEALTH SUPERVISOR Responsibilities and skills required: Demonstrated experience monitoring cattle health with the ability to diagnose animal health symptoms and treat with the appropriate treatment protocols;

  • Have excellent livestock handling skills;

  • Ability to lead effectively in a team, contributing positively to team operations and working relationships;

  • Excellent horsemanship skills;

  • Minimum 2 years feedlot experience;

  • Undertake staff training in animal health and stockmanship;

  • Supervising pen riders and reporting to the livestock manager.

RECEIVAL/DISPATCH SUPERVISOR

Responsibilities and skills required:

  • Have excellent livestock handling skills;

  • Ability to lead effectively in a team, contributing positively to team operations and working relationships;

  • Manage and organise all aspects of induction, arrival and dispatch of cattle in and out of the Feedlot, while also supporting the Livestock Team in the daily livestock activities;

  • A knowledge of computers, and previous experience using stock-aid software is essential.
