The Communications Coordinator role offers an exciting opportunity to hone and develop your talent in communications and storytelling and feed your passion for building up strong advocates through talent recognition.

As the Communications Coordinator, your role will be to assist the General Manager - Communications & Engagement in the creation and delivery of ALFA’s end-to-end communications and marketing campaigns as well as its membership services and awards and scholarship opportunities.

You will be responsible for delivering high quality communication pieces through a range of channels and assets all designed to inform, educate, and assist our members’ businesses.

You will also play a key role in assisting in the development and execution of effective communication plans aimed to inform the public about our industry’s credentials and grain fed beef production.

As a member of a small and dynamic team, you will harness your passion for communicating and storytelling with your hands on practical approach to deliver high quality, engaging content.

Offering valuable mentoring, networking and interstate travel opportunities, this role will set up the right candidate for a strong communications career in the red meat industry, with highly transferrable skills, connections and experience.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Assist in the development, coordination, and publication of ALFA’s Communication Activities, including the following projects, publications, and communications:

  • Member fortnightly e-Newsletter, Member General Messages, Media Releases, Social Media Profiles, Grain Fed Beef Website, Feedlot TECH, ALFA Website, ALFA Lotfeeding Journal, Corporate Communications and Collateral.

  • Assist in the delivery of the Membership Strategy, including handling membership and other stakeholder enquiries.

  • Assist in the coordination of the Association’s Annual Recognition of Excellence Program, including coordinating award and scholarship promotion and communication requirements related to entrants, judges and sponsors and alumni networks.
